A Typical Day in Falcon Class
Our day in Falcon Class is full of fun, learning, and opportunities to grow!
Morning Start We begin with exciting fine motor activities to get our hands and minds ready for learning. Children enjoy cutting activities, disco dough, and STEM Lego building. Some of our learners then join their mainstream buddy class in the main school.
Phonics & Movement Back in class, we dive into Phonics learning, followed by disco dough and energizing brain breaks to keep everyone focused and happy.
English & Reading After a short break, we explore English through engaging lessons, group reading, and one-to-one reading sessions. Then it’s time for our social snack an opportunity to practice communication and enjoy a healthy treat.
Good Learning Time Next comes one of our favourite parts of the day: Good Learning Time! We play group social games and have plenty of chances to learn through play, both indoors and outdoors.
Lunch & Life Skills At lunchtime, we practice important life skills like using cutlery and making healthy choices. After lunch play, we return to the classroom refreshed and ready for more learning.
Afternoon Adventures Our afternoons are packed with exciting activities across the curriculum - Science, History, Geography, Maths, and more! After another short break, we enjoy another Good Learning Time, focusing on play-based learning and working on individual targets, including speech and language development. Some of our learners join their mainstream buddy class in the main school for their afternoon learning.
Home Time To end our busy day, we get ready for home and gather for a story before saying goodbye and meeting our adults.
